There weren’t many changes for this update, but they’re all in the installer so I felt it was very important to get wider testing before trusting the code enough for a final release. Anyway, as usual you can get the update from the website at http://www.getpaint.net/ or you can use the built-in updater from the Help -> Check for Updates menu item. You will need to make sure that “Also check for Beta releases” is enabled, by clicking on the “Options” button after clicking the “Check for Updates” menu item.
Changes since Beta 1:
- Fixed: Some uncommon installer bugs
- Fixed: Very poor performance during installation or updating, sometimes causing the removal of the previous version to take 20 minutes

I take it that “Fixed: Very poor performance during installation” means no more verbose MSI logging
Mike, correct. However, if you still want verbose logging you can run the installer manually with the /verbose command-line parameter (it is not yet documented though). Verbose logging will not be used when using the built-in updater.
I just found that the source code is not available for download and that skyorb.com seems to be offline.
Is there a different way to get the source code so we can look into all the 3.22 goodness?
Christoph — The source code download link is working fine for me. Also, source code is not provided for beta releases, only for final ones.
We recommend your product to all our customers for them to design for free. This is a great tool!!!
