Slashdot effect on blog traffic

About 30x the traffic that I had yesterday. Fun stuff. The “Slashdot effect” will always amuse me :)

  2. Things like being slashdotted, dugged or stumbled upon is cool when it happens I admit but those spikes don’t bring any real benefit or at least that has been my experience. Want would be interesting to note is if it did have effect outside of the spike itself. Did you also get a similar spike in downloads or possibly a spike in donations?

    Just curious more than anything else ..

  4. Steven, it’s hard to say if there was a spike in donations or downloads. I’m still in the “afterglow” of the v3.20 release so the rushes I’m seeing there were expected anyway.
